Dr Omid Salar – Trusted Dental Ashmore principal dentist
Dr Omid Salar is the owner and principal dentist at Trusted Dental Ashmore – Gold Coast.
Omid comes from a dental family – in fact, his mum is still practicing dentistry after more than forty years.
He completed his dental education (Doctor of Dental Surgery) in 2005. He has provided the Gold Coast with quality dentistry since 2010.
Omid is passionate about helping people to save their teeth and getting them out of pain. He has performed more than three thousand root canal treatments. Many of these treatments were referred to him by colleagues. They were challenging cases needing an extra level of attention to detail and patience. Omid constantly keeps updating his knowledge in this field through attending different courses and seminars.
Dr Omid Salar is a proud member of the Australian Society of Endodontology and the Australian Dental Association.
Omid’s other area of skill is cosmetic dentistry. He has helped hundreds of people to achieve the smile they have always wanted.
‘The satisfaction I get from saving a tooth and getting someone out of pain or restoring confidence which was otherwise lost behind a hidden smile is beyond value,’ he says. ‘I often see tears of joy after a smile makeover. It is in that moment that I know I have made a difference in someone’s life. These things make me wake up excited about dentistry every single day!’
Omid strongly believes that dentistry is a combination of art and science. It is possible to achieve the quality of treatment and the level of comfort you expect only when you put these two factors together.
‘I always start by placing myself in the patient’s position and treat everyone as if I was sitting in the dental chair. This way I always know I am giving my very best to my patients – each time, every time.’
Omid is a father of two. He loves spending time with his family, especially going to sci-fi movies with his daughter. He loves traveling and enjoys a good game of tennis.
